Hougang prison.
As you people know, kids below the age of 16 caught wandering on the streets after 11pm will have their particulars taken down by the police, and their parents will be informed. Wondering where the police is going to lock these kids up after arresting them? I do not think that they will be sent to the police station, as there won't be space to accommodate them.
Let me show you a few pictures which I took sometime ago when i was walking past my old house.
Notice that this is not an ordinary basketball court? It looks like a jail to me.
This is the enterance to the "jail".
Do you think that the grills are constructed to make this basketball court a night prison? I got a feeling that kids will be detained in this neigbourhood prison at night, after the lights goes off at 10pm. We have neighbourhood police stations located in different parts of singapore and now, in addition to these police stations, we have these neighbourhood prisons, to enhance the security in the country.
